The Southeastern Conference loves to stick out its chest and brag, “It just means more.” Which is debatable. What is not debatable is that the sport of hockey just means more to Canadians than Americans. And yet, the National Hockey League has not had a team from the Great White North win the Stanley Cup since the Montreal Canadians in 1993.
In the meantime, our northern neighbors have suffered through such hockey hotbeds as Tampa Bay, Carolina, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Anaheim hoisting the trophy.
Ugh. That would be akin to Greg Sankey living in a world where Wolverines from Michigan are the kings of college football.
The horror...
So, what just means more to YOU?
Here’s what should mean more to all of us:
“You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you...Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you” (Ps. 63:1-3).
